Investools, SmartMoney, Trading Academy: Your Guide to The Guides of The Stock Market

Despite the recent well publicized unrest of Wall Street in general and international stock markets as a whole, there is still a large market of people wanting to learn more about the market in order to hopefully invest themselves one day. Especially with the rising concern over the state of Social Security and corporate pensions, people are looking for new ways to provide for themselves.

There are many legitimate and well rounded stock market courses available via the internet, including but not limited to Investools, SmartMoney, and Trading Academy, that will teach not only the basics for understanding the market, but also strategies and long term investment plans as well.

However, when looking for a course that will give you training in the stock market, be sure to look for courses that are comprehensive and that focus exclusively on knowledge and building an understanding of the market as a whole.

Many companies will automatically try to offer you investing and trading advice, and many times they will give you this advice for free or for a more affordable cost than an entire comprehensive training course.

However, how are you supposed to evaluate the advice you are being given if you do not have a good understanding of the market as whole? For example, there is a whole sector of people out there trying to sell strategies for being a penny stock millionaire.

A penny stock is a stock that is traded at under five dollars a share. Because this stock is so affordable, people tend to think there is little risk in investing in it, and therefore they buy into these penny stock millionaire promises and begin investing their money based on third party advice they are unable to evaluate.

But, if you lose enough money with any investment, even in small increments over time, that still counts as a loss and should not be the way you would like to go into your experience trading in the market.

In addition, penny stocks are easily manipulated for people who would like to drive the stock price up artificially and make money off of smaller investors. Knowledge of the market would help you defend yourself against these types of potential scams.

Or, if you are hesitant to purchase a comprehensive program like Investools, SmartMoney, or Trading Academy, consider a visit to your public library. Many books have been written on this very subject, and a few visits to your local library may be all you need to feel well informed on your journey into the stock market.
